Our ORGATEC Cologne 2026 Visit Plan: We Will Be in Cologne — Without a Stand

Summary: ORGATEC Cologne 2026 runs 27–30 October 2026 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. The Enjoy Caster team will be there, but as visitors rather than exhibitors — because we are a component supplier to office furniture makers, not a finished-furniture brand. Our purpose in Cologne is specific: to see what our customers are launching this year, where design direction is heading, and to call on existing clients. If you will also be in Cologne, we would be glad to arrange a meeting.

Why a Component Supplier Does Not Exhibit at ORGATEC   H2

We are asked this every year, so it is worth answering plainly.

ORGATEC is one of the world's most important fairs for office environments and office furniture. What is on show is finished product: task chairs, desks, meeting systems, complete spatial solutions. Its audience — designers, space planners, dealers, corporate buyers — comes to look at finished goods.

A caster is the part fitted underneath those finished goods. Showing a single caster on a stand at a finished-furniture fair gives visitors no context, and is not an efficient way for us to communicate. The natural home for a component supplier is a specialist fair built around furniture materials and components.

None of which makes ORGATEC unimportant to us. Quite the opposite. ORGATEC is biennial, running in even years, and the people on those stands are our customers. For us it is a standing two-year appointment with them — and the one occasion where we see what became of the caster we developed for them last year. The odd-year fair, interzum Cologne (11–14 May 2027), is the home ground for furniture components, and that is where we exhibit.

A note worth keeping: if you see a caster supplier claiming to exhibit at ORGATEC, it is reasonable to ask for the hall and stand number. Official exhibitor directories are publicly searchable, which makes this a quick detail to verify.

What We Go to ORGATEC to See   H2

Visiting is not wandering. We arrive with a few clearly defined questions, and the answers feed directly into the following year's product development.

Focus

What we are looking at

Effect on product

Customers' new concepts and design direction

What new ranges existing customers are launching, where the formal language is heading, whether base proportions and materials are shifting

Determines which wheel diameters, swivel offsets and finishes we develop next year

Chair-to-floor pairings on show

The floor materials actually used across the halls (carpet tile, timber, seamless resin, epoxy) and the wheel types paired with the chairs on display

Informs our hardness-range and tread-compound recommendation logic

Colour and material language

The season's dominant palettes, matte finishes, and whether the direction is toward lower chroma or higher contrast

Sets the stocked custom colour card and its production feasibility assessment

How sustainability and compliance are narrated

How brands communicate recycled content, design for disassembly, and lifespan claims

Shapes how far our PCR documentation and warranty terms need to be prepared

The first row matters most. Caster development cycles run longer than furniture cycles; if we wait until a customer formally sends an enquiry, the timing is often already tight. Seeing the direction early on the show floor is why we can deliver the right part on schedule the following year.

If You Will Be in Cologne: Let's Arrange a Meeting   H2

We have no stand, but we do have time — and no stand actually makes for a better conversation: no passers-by interrupting, no five-minute window.

If you are evaluating caster suppliers, or have a failure case you cannot resolve, arrange a time with us before the show. We will bring three things:

  • Sectioned comparison samples: one one-time-injection caster and one conventionally bonded caster, both cut open. Ten seconds is enough to see whether a bond line exists — that line is where delamination begins.
  • A physical colour card set: the achievable custom colour gamut, stocked colours, and the realistic batch variation range, so you can compare directly against your own upholstery or coating references.
  • The full certification pack: SGS, BIFMA test methodology basis, RoHS, REACH and PCR in one set, available to read and photograph on the spot.

If you can send your specification beforehand — application, load, floor material, target market — we will prepare matched samples and bring them, so the meeting goes entirely into verification rather than explanation.

Frequently Asked Questions   H2

Q1: Does Enjoy Caster have a stand at ORGATEC this year?   H3

No. ORGATEC is a finished office furniture fair, and its exhibitors are furniture brands and manufacturers — many of them our customers. We attend as visitors, to call on those customers and observe design direction, without a stand. The team will be in Cologne from 27 to 30 October and meetings can be booked in advance.

Q2: Where can I see Enjoy Caster exhibiting, then?   H3

Component-focused trade fairs are our home ground. In Europe, that is interzum Cologne, the international trade fair for furniture production and interior design components, running 11–14 May 2027 at Koelnmesse; detailed exhibition information will be announced closer to the date. In Taiwan, we exhibit at the Taiwan International Hardware & Tools Expo (TiTE x IHT, 20–22 October 2026, Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center), stand F533.

Q3: Without a stand, how do I see samples?   H3

Two ways. Arrange a meeting in Cologne and we will bring sectioned samples, colour cards and documentation to the agreed location. Or skip the show entirely — send us your specification and we will ship matched samples to you for testing in your own laboratory, which is usually more valuable than a visual judgement on a show floor.

Q4: Which slots are available during the show?   H3

Any day from 27 to 30 October, though show-week slots are limited — we suggest booking at least two weeks ahead. If the dates do not suit your schedule, meeting in another European city before or after the fair can also be arranged.

Q5: How technical can the meeting get?   H3

Down to specification level: wheel diameter, load rating, hardness range, swivel offset, mounting interface, floor compatibility, certification requirements and warranty terms. If you bring a failed sample, we can also give a first read on the failure mode — abrasion, delamination or hydrolysis. The three have entirely different remedies, and misdiagnosing one leads to changing the wrong supplier.

Conclusion & Next Step: The Value of a Fair Is Meeting People   H3

Catalogues can be posted and quotations emailed, but some things only happen face to face: feeling a cross-section, comparing a colour under the same light, asking the awkward question about warranty exclusions and watching how it is answered. That is why we still travel to Cologne every year, stand or no stand.

  • Meet us in Cologne: we are at ORGATEC 27–30 October as visitors, not exhibitors. Meetings are by prior appointment.
  • Request a sectioned sample: ten seconds to confirm whether a bond line exists — the fastest delamination risk assessment available.
  • Request the full document pack: SGS, BIFMA test methodology basis, RoHS, REACH and PCR in one delivery.
